WRITER/PRODUCER/ACTOR HANNAH WEST’S INTEREST IN THE PLIGHT OF HOMELESS AND MARGINALISED PEOPLE LED HER TO WRITE AND PRODUCE A FILM ABOUT A HOMELESS WOMAN WHOSE PAIN CENTRED NOT AROUND HUNGER OR WARMTH, BUT LONELINESS.
I loved working with Hannah on her graduation film for The Academy of Live & Recorded Arts. She embodied a woman who longs to be seen, to have friends, and to be invited in to the normal networks of humanity. It was incredible to work with so many dedicated actors from ALRA. The film won Hannah Best Actress and myself Best Director at the Oniros Film Awards.
